The innocence and bliss of a child

He jumps, plays, falls down, cries and then laughs. He tires and then sleeps. He sleeps peacefully. As I look at his innocent visage now, he is sleeping silently.

I wonder what happens to us as we grow up? We lose this innocence and bliss. We don't fall asleep so easily and we never look so relaxed, even while sleeping.

As someone said childhood is good but to remain a child always is not. That is true but what about preserving the innocence and bliss of a child throughout? Is that easy? Is that feasible?
