The Great Big B and his tweets

March 1, 2012

Of late, I have started following the tweets of great people, people who have great accomplishments behind them to prove their worth ... not just Tom, Dick and Harry. I want to know through their tweets what goes on in their mind and how they think.

Just saw a tweet from Amitabh Bachchan which says ... 'Must keep repeating to self .. Every day in every way I am getting better and better ..It works most of the time ..!!'

Well this adage is known to me and I myself have used it a few times. Then how different is his thought process from mine. May be he chants the adages with more intensity or more belief. May be he is more determined, enthusiastic and at the same time patient. May be...

In fact some recent tweets from Amitabh Bachachan show  how optimistic he is in life. When the Indian cricket team was losing one after another match in Australia, he kept praising our boys. He keeps glorifying them. Sometimes he wakes up very early in the morning to watch an Indian innings and feels bad for their dismal performance. But he never criticizes or blames. He hopes that they will improve. And when they perform well, he gets excited and writes encouraging tweets about them. His joy knows no bound on the eve of an Indian victory.

I have also seen the ever enchanting Big B tweeting about poor people and their sorrow. I have seen his tweets remembering some everlasting lines of poem from his father and well known poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Sometimes he conveys his satisfaction from the success of his polio campaign. And he emanates real happiness from those abridged expressions.

His accomodating nature is noteworthy as well. While he had praised the recent hit Kolaveri song, which to some connoiseurs might sound puerile, but at the same time he gets up early in the morning to see the Oscar Award Function.

Talk about enthusiasm ... Even at this age of 70(approx) he is more energetic and enthusiastic than most of the people in 30's - his involvement to promote Gujarat tourism, Pulse Polio Campaign, the sheer passion with which he does the Kaun Banega Karodpati to name a few.

A man who is up there, soaring high in the sky, hasn't reached there just like that or in some stroke of luck. He has characteristics which have carved his success bit by bit over a long period of time. I admire AB from an early age and continue to admire him today. Insightful are his tweets which give us an opportunity to have a peep into this great mind.

The more I read his tweets, the more I know about him and I feel more and more awed.
